Understand the differences in our subscription reports

A guide to our different subscription reports and what they show

Intro

In the reports tab, we show several different numbers related to members and subscriptions. But it's not always the same number – and that's because each report has different purposes and measures different things. Depending on what you're looking for, different reports may be right for you. Below you'll find information and explanations about what data the different subscription reports show.

Some reports show:

  • Unique people (each member is counted once)
  • Others show number of subscription s (a person with multiple subscription s is counted multiple times)

So it's important to use the right report depending on what you're looking for. Here are two examples:

🎯 Example 1 – How many unique people currently have an active subscription ?

Used:

Reports → Users → All users → Subscription (Yes)

It shows the number of unique members with an active subscription on today's date.

💰 Example 2 – How many subscriptions did we sell in May, regardless of when they start?

Used:

Reports → Subscriptions → Sold subscriptions

Here you can choose whether you want to view subscriptions based on creation date or start date.

The following chapters explain what each report shows and how to interpret the data, at the end is a table that summarizes all the info.

Users - All users → Subscription (Yes)

What it shows:

The number of unique users who have an active subscription on today's date.

Important to know:

  • A member is only counted once , even if they have multiple subscriptions.
  • It is a momentary value – valid only for today's date.

Subscription – Active subscriptions


What it shows:

The number of active subscriptions on a selected date – not unique users.

Important to know:

  • A person with multiple active subscriptions is counted multiple times.
  • You can choose which date you want to see the status for.

Subscription – Subscriptions Sold

What it shows:

The number of subscriptions sold . You can choose to display based on:

  • Created date (when the subscription was registered).
  • Start date (when the subscription begins).

Subscribers - Subscriber statistics


What it shows:

The number of members during a selected period , with two different ways of counting.

Important to know:

You select the calculation method in the "Calculation method for total" field:

  • "After the period": shows the number of members at the end of the period .
  • "During the term": counts everyone who was a member at some point during the period , even if they terminated their subscription before the end of the period.

Subscribers - Ended subscribers

What it shows:

Shows members who have completely terminated their subscription, i.e.:

They have no other active or upcoming subscription after the current subscription ends.

Used to capture truly terminated customers, not just termination of an individual subscription.

Why do the numbers differ between the reports?
